TOWN CLERKS MEET
CONFERENCE OF INSTITUTE. MR. P. SKOGLUND PRESIDENT. Tho New Zealand Institute of Town Clerks’ conference 'was held at Napier and Hastings on Tuesday. At both towns they were given a civic reception. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. P. Skoglund (Stratford); vice-presidents, Messrs. J. R. Hardie (Palmerston North), G. March (Wanganui), Noel C. Harding (Hastings), J. M. Fraser (Rangiora), F. Hobbs (Lyttelton), and J. F. Menzies (Sumner); executive, Messrs. R. C. Major (Upper Hutt), 0. L. Bishop (Eastbourne), B. S. Knox (Lower Hutt), J. T. Davis (Shannon), H. Firth (Potone); secretary, Mr. H. P. Mourant (Wellington).
