YOUNG CHILD DROWNED
ACCIDENT IX WANGANUI DIVED. A child named Jeanetla Heard, ii hull-caste Maori, aged 2, who was living at the Waikiki I.’a, near Daorikia, Wanganui Diver, was diowned during the week-end. She was missed from the pa at about .10.dl) a.m., and, "liter .search lor two hours, her parents found her drowned in the river, it is understood that she may have slipped from a log on the bank or that she tripped and fell into the water.
