£2OOO PRIZE TO NEW, PLYMOUTH
The first prize of £2OOO in the Golden Chance Art Union drawn on Weonesday, went to New Plymouth, the winning ticket being A 44877, “Australia,” New Plymouth. Second, £SOO, Z 44576, “Lucky Pat,” Combine scow, Auckland, Third, £2OO, A 67542, “A.E.H.,” Oamaru.
Fourth, £IOO, Z 42279, Mrs. B. Earby, Point Chevalier, Auckland. Fifth, £7O, Z 35791, G. W. Early, Christchurch.
£25 each, Z 84502, Coinric Spence, Christchurch; A350'0, "Winter Supply, M Woodville, The winner of the second prize of £SOO in the Golden Chance Art Union is Mr. Patrick Grogan, who is on relief work. Mr. Grogan is a sailor, 54 years of age, and for about 30 years he was employed in local sailing vessels in the coastal trade, being master of scows. Ho has been unemployed for about two years.
