MANY BURNED OR 'TRAMPLED,

Terrible panic occurred when a village church at Zubrohlava, Slovakia, was struck by lightning while the congregation was sheltering from a thunderstorm after Mass. Several charred bodies Were found with the hands clinging to the' altar rails, and two more with the hands clutching the rails at the side of the altar.

These* l were the only victims of the lightning; but there was the panic, attributed to the savagery of the men. Eighteen women and children but not a Single man - were found trampled, eight of whom died. The remainder were seriously injured.
