OBITUARY.
MU. JOHN'P, EGAN. It is with very deep regret that we have to record the death of Mr. John Patrick Egan, which took place at the local hospital yesterday!. The deceased, who hadjboen in failing health for some time past, had been a resident of Patea for over 20 -years, carrying on. the business of a master tailor, in,' which calling he had few superiors in the Dominion. Possessed of a genial and happy temperament,' combined with the strictest integrity, it is small wonder that he had gathered round him a host of friends, who will deeply regret his demise. He is survived by his widow, for whom the deepest sympathy will be felt in hef 'bereavement. The funeral will - leave the 7 , Roman Catholic Church for the Patea Ceme* tory at 3 p.m. to-3,ay (Monday).
