WANGANUI GIRLS’ COLLEGE.
The Wanganui Girls’ College building is a handsome, commodious structure of brick and wood, provided with everything necessary for the comfortable and orderly life of its inmates. The teaching stuff, under the able direction of the principal, Miss A. C. Tizard, M.A., is of such high calibre that parents can rest assured of the successful preparation of students for examinations up to first section of University Degrees. Attention is drawn to the following facts. Special provision is made for safety in case of lire, and a hospital room is kept free for use in ease of illness. ‘The grounds are tastefully laid out in lawns and flower gardens, and include, besides hockey and basketball grounds, seven ashphalt tennis courts and a large swimming bath. A special mistress takes charge of physical drill, games, and athletics. The greatest possible attention is given to securing good all-round development, especially as regards character. The welfare of the pupils is the first consideration of the Board of Governors ami the staff, and particular attention is paid to the boarding establishment. Boarding fees arc very reasonable, and there has been no increase in these for many years, despite the increased cost of food and service. The Board has always placed the comfort of the girls before the making of large profits. Free place holders arc admitted. There will be vacancies for boarders at the beginning of 1933. Send to the Secretary, Box 79, Wanganui, for a prospectus.
