RIFLE SHOOTING
A sweepstake shoot was held on the local rifle range on Saturday last. The conditions were difficult, a heavy mirage proving troublesome and scores were low. Rifleman Gilbert was the winner with N. Goad runner-up. The following were the scores: — E. Gilbert, 31 at 300yds, 30 at (500yds, handicap 3, total G 4. N. Goad, HO, 00, 3, G2. R. Willis. 33. 38, ser.. H. P. Palmer. 37, 37, scr., GO.
