PELL FROM DRAY

MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED

As the result of being run over by a loaded dray at Ivoputuroa, near Palmerston North, on Saturday, Mr. C. Beaver, a farm hand, aged 23, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital suffering froui serious internal injuries.

The man was ruling on a load of hay and at the same time was driving a mob of calves. Apparently some* thing frightened one of the calves, which, in turn, frightened the horse and made it bolt. Mr. Beaver was thrown on to the ground and run over by the dray. His condition is critical.
