CROQUET. The Wavcrlcy team which visited Wanganui on Wednesday to play their arranged match, although not fortun- ’ ate in securing the highest score ra the end of the day, managed to get several wins in the singles. The games wore as follows: — Mrs. Palmer 23, Mrs. Egan 2€. Mrs. Pepper 26, Mrs. Price 23. Mrs. Muir 22, Mrs. McDougall 26. Miss Cleary 23, Miss Burgess 26. Mrs, Alexander 17, Mrs. Bassett- ' Smith 26. Mrs. Eames 5, Mrs. Falconer 26. The following arc the results of the doubles:— Mrs, Palmer and Mrs. Pepper 1. v. Mrs. Egan and Mrs. Price 26. Mrs. Muir and Miss Cleary 10 v. Mrs. McDougal and Miss Burgess 26. Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Eames 15 v. Mrs, Bassett-Smith and Mrs. Falconer 26.
Altogether a A'ery pleasant day Avas spent, the Adsitors being very hospitably entertained. A return match wdll be played in Wa\-orlcy within the next few days.
