WAVERLEY BOWLING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Waverloy Bowling Club was held recently, Mr. A. J. Adlnm -presiding'. In moving the adoption of tire report and balance-sheet he stated tHe e.lub hud a credit balance of iL’.’l and assets totalling IDO, and the outlook for the coming season was bright. It was with regret that the club received the resignation of the secretary, Mr. H. W. .Tames, av!io Ims Judd the office for 11J years. His tin:- record of service was cordially acknowledged by all members.
Subscriptions were fixed for the coming season at M2 IDs, with £1 for first - ycar player.-- and lady members. Wednesday was fixed for the mid-week games, and it was also agreed that the club would enter for the Nixon Cup, which is to be played for early in the season.
The election of officers resulted as follows: —(’resident, Mr. A. d. Adlam; vice-presidents, Messrs: W. .1. Mills and W. Wicks; joint secretaries and treasurers, Messrs. J. E. Palmer and S. Aiken; green supervisor, Mr. W. Wicks; committee, Messrs. .1. .Malhiesoa ,1. L. Beer, J. Nicholls. .1. Eitzgibbon, -I. Pepper, ,1. R. Palmer, E. G. Dnllison, and J. A. Adlam; selection ami. match committee, Messrs. S. Aiken, d. Malirieson and E. C. Dallison; honorary auditor, Mr. .Tames Currie; delegate to Wanganui Centre, Mr. S. Napier.
