BAND OF HOPE PICNIC.
The members of the Waverley Band of Hope and their friends hold their animal picnic on ‘Saturday. Mr. L. Aiken kindly lending his property for the occasion. The weather was all that i cGuild be desired, and a very pleasant time was spent. The children, numbering about 00. enjoyed the game's which had lioon organised by the parents and friends. No prizes were given this year, it being the wish of the children that the proceeds from the concert, which amounted to £2 ds (and had been set aside for prizes) be donated to the earthquake relief fund. AVe commend the ehildren for this unselfish act. The committee therefore donated £2.
