FARMERS’ LOAF CAKE.

Take 11b apples, ihw. cleaned and dried currants, one small cup golden syrup, -loz baiter, lib Hour, one teacup blown sugar, t teaspoon cinnamon, one teaspoon carbonate soda. Peel, core, and finely Mice the apples and stew them in the syrmp till tender. Eub the butter into the Hour; add sugar, currants, spice, and soda. Next add milk to mix. the beaten egg. the apples ami syrup. Lent all well together. Bake in moderate oven in a greased Hat square tin from -10 minutes to one hour. This is better if not nit until the day .after it is baked.
