NAPIER’S BURDEN. 1280,000 NEEDED. It will cost £280,000 to reinstate the Napier Borough services, according to an official statement. It is expected that the rebuilding of me chimney in each house will run into 30,000. THE TOTAL DEATHS TO DATE. The total dead now accounted for in Napier is 147, of whom 119 have been identified. It is feared that the total has not yet stopped growing.
