Mr, •(.!. Fraser has relumed from a visit to Taradalo. Mrs. ;T. Pox and -family, of Hustings, are spending a holiday in Patoa, The inspector of fire brigades, Captain *T. T. Hugo, retires from the Ciovernmeut service on March 151. His duties- temporarily will be taken by Mr. H. Girling-Butcher, chief inspector of explosives. The retirement of Mr. W, A. G. Skinner, who has been ’.Government Printer for a number of years, is considered to be imminent, states a Wellington message. It is expected he will relinquish his duties on March 31.
