WAVERLEY

WEDDING. CAMPBELL —DEBBETT. A pretty wedding of great local and district interest was soiemnised in si. George’s Church, Patea, by the Eev. 0. Gibson, on February 17, 11)31, when Bona Demat, grami-daughter of Mr. aad .Mrs. E. Demit, “Pine Hill," VV-heimaknia, vas. married to Buy, second son of .Mrs. Campbell, of Kohi. The church was tastefully decorated with pink and white flowers, and was well lilJed with friends and relatives of the two families. Mrs. W. 1 sdiedd presided, at the organ and rendered appropriate wedding music.

The bride, who was given away by her grandfather., looked sweetly pretty n a beautiful ankle-length frock of white georgette, with long, close-fitting bodice, circular skirl, inset with panels of lace, and dainty lace cape. She wore a spray of orange blossom on a beautiful veil, lent, by the bridegroom vs mother, silver shoes, and carried a charming shower bouquet of white flowers, the gift of her grandmother. Miss Jean Shcild was bridesmaid, wearing a very dainty ankle-length frock of pale pink georgette, the skirt having two flounces and two longpanels at the sides. Her hat was a very becoming wide Bangkok straw of pale pink edged with pink flowered satin, and with pink satin ribbon around the crown. Her shoes were of pink and silver and she carried a dainty bouquet of pink carnations and maidenhair, the work of Mrs. W. F. Slieild. Mr. Fred. Hopkinson, of VVaitotara, carried out the duties of best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held at the Town Hull, the supper room being prettily decorated in pink and white, a handsome three-tiered wedding cake, the gift of Mrs. M. C. Wybourne, occupying pride of place on the well-laden tables. After the usual toasts had been honoured and the good things done full justice to, the happy couple left for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a brown crepe do chine costume with hat and shoes to tone. Mr. and Mrs. G. Campbell's future home will be at Kohi.
