GHASTLY LETTER SENT TO RELATIVE. Frau Wiese, foster-mother of the child Gertrude Ablcnian, murdered at Dusscldorf, received two letters detailing the crime. The handwriting was the same as in the letter indicating the whereabouts of Gertrude’s body. The longer letter fully reviewed the details, commencing in verse, and eontinning with a dramatic dialogue reporting the' murderer’s conversation, the child’s effort ■at self-defence, the knife attack, ami her death shrieks. The shorter letter is apparently to the child. Fran Wies-o attempted suicide on reading the letters.
