SOCIAL EVENING. UNL)EIi AUSPICES OF METHODIST LADIES’ GUILD. A very pleasant social evening was hold in the Kakarameu Hall on Friday last under the auspices of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild. I here was a good attendance, Mr. A. E. Wainwright being in the chair, and seeing that everything went with a will. A varied programme of competitions and items was thoroughly enjoyed, whilst the very dainty supper provided by the ladies was also greatly appreciated. The guild desires to express its thanks to all those wiio assisted in any way to make the evening the success it proved. The following was the programme:— Hong. Mrs. McDonald. Motor Car Competition. Violin Holo, Miss L. Sutherland. Pianoforte Holo, Miss J. Sutherland. Recitation, Master W. Watt. . Hong, Mrs. Meade. * Competition, Chinese Game. Hong, Mr. IV. Carmichael. Competition. Tlie following were tin* winners of the competitions, the prizes for which were kindly donated by Miss Tong and Miss Lord;—James Huston, Janies Watt, Master Me hurry, and Mrs. Moll arry.
