WEDNESDAY’S EUNS. The first of the local Amateur Athletic Club’s evening runs took place at the Domain on Wednesday, when some excellent sport was witnessed. The finishes in both events were exceptionally good, inches only separating the placed men. In the first event, 75yds race, Geoff. Thomson *((jyds) showed a good turn of speed, catching up Currie (7yds) and Paterson (7yds) aicar the post, and winning by about- a couple of inches, Currie being the same distance in front of Paterson. The 880yds event proved even more exciting than the previous one, Fraser (4yds) running a. great race, and finally dead-heating with Cousins (40yds), with Currie (60yds) only a matter of inches behind. -Time 2m.
