IBERIAN VIRGIN DESTROYED
SOVIET’S BLOW AT RELIGION.
Working secretly overnight behind hoardings, Soviet workmen demolished tile famous shrine of the Iberian riigin at the Iberian Gate, where the Tsars and all classes worshipped for vears. Only a blackened spot remained in the morning. It is regarded as the Soviet’s most sensational blow against religion.
