The president moved a hearty vote of thanks to the ladies for their willing and valuable help throughout the season at all social games. It was also resolved that the officials and committee of the club be thanked for their co-operation in club games. At the conclusion of the business of the meeting the president took the opportunity to present Mr. S. J. Taylor with a handsome travelling rug on behalf of the members as a mark of appreciation of his services as honorary secretary to ihe club. As an active member of the club he was sorry Mr. Taylor was leaving the district, and would like to convoy the best wishes of the entire club for his future prosperity. ' Mr. Taylor, replying, said he felt very keenly parting with the members of the club, among whom he 'had spent many pleasant hours. Ho would like to extend an invitation to any member of the club to call on him during future bonding seasons/, wh'cn friendships would be renewed in a friendly roll up ou the Gonvillo green. The singing of “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” brought the meeting to a close.

The annual report was read as under: Your committee- has pleasure in presenting this, the 32nd annual report of the cluib for the past season. 'The finances of the club arc most satisfactory, -considering the small membership, the credit balance at the bank being £l4 Kis. The season opened on Saturday, October 13. The usual opening game president v, vice-president was played, but owing to wet weather only 16 players assembled on the green. The membership now stands at 34 active and three honorary members, as against 37 active and three honorary last year. This is a matter which we regret, and the committee would like to ask all members to endeavour to improve the membership for forthcoming season. The resolution enroll first year players at a fee of £2 will still be maintained. The club has lost, three active members during the season, these men having left the district. Club matches were played as follows: Four games were played with Patea, Patea winning three and Waverley one; we had a visit from the Wanganui Club on. January 1, the visitors winning by 21 points; the Park Club also visited us on January 2 and were victorious by 37 points. Both games provided a very enjoyable day's sport. On Wednesday, klarch 6, we visited both Hawcra and the Park greens, our rinks being diivfided ( between both greens morning and afternoon. Nixon Cup games were played against the following clubs; Wanganui, St. John’s, Wanganui East, Wanganui West, Gonviile, and Rapanui. The results of these games were five wins and one drawn game. The final game was played against St. John's on Saturday, March 23, Wavorlcy defeating St. John's by 89 to 70. The Nixon Cup was duly forwarded from the centre and is now held by the club. The committee would like the opinion of the players at this meeting whether these games should be continued next season. Seven Banner games wore played against Patea and resulted In five wins and two losses. These games were most enjoyable and keenly eontested, and we hope more of them will be played next season. Kccsing Cup: On December J 5 we were successful in winning this cup froum St. John's by two points. Patea then challenged ns on January 5 and defeated us by eight points. Wo tried to recover the cup on January 29, but were unsuccessful, Patea winning by two ’points. Harrison Feathers: Five very keenly contested games were played for the feathers, the present holders being Messrs. Parsons, Quinn, James, and Aiken. Taranaki Tournament: Messrs. Dallison, J. E. Palmer, and W. Wicks each took a rink to New Plymouth in January, Dallison and Palmer securing throe wins and Wicks

two wins. Club competitions were again tried during the season but did not meet with very much support ami it will be a matter for consideration whether they will be continued next season. Following a request from the Dominion Bowling Centre your committee forwarded a donation to the Earthquake Fund equal to Is per active member, aud it is for this meeting to decide 'whether members are willing to icfund this amount to the club’s funds. The committee would recommend that this club support the Daylight Saving Bill. The caretaker carried out his duties in a very satisfactory mannei under the guidance of Mr. Wicks a.green supervisor. The combined efforts of these gentlemen were much appreciated by the members, and also by visitors from other places. We have every confidence that the green, and surroundings will still be maintained in the same satisfactory manner next season. The thanks of the club arc due 'to the ladies who so willingly assisted at the various interclub games and also those members who assisted in preparing the green at the commencement of the season, and to Messrs Dallison, Wicks, /Nicholls, James, aud Beer for the presentation of two rubber mats each to the club, also to Mr. J. Currie for auditing the accounts.
