LAWN TENNIS

THE PAT FA CLUB. Tenuis players have taken full advantage of the continuous summer weather of the past 10 days and on Wednesday and Saturday particularly all live courts were busily engaged Li'om two to seven o’clock. Handicap singles matches have been arranged for all members in four divisions, ladies and men, junior and senior. The games will bo played on the “Yankee" system, each player meeting every other player in that division through the season. Care has been taken with the handicapping and interest should be sustained for several mouths. Members were delighted on Saturday to find that the rackets for adjusting the nets, which have given trouble for many seasons, have been repaired and rcllxcd by Mr. AYhitchead. His gratuitous work is greatly appreciated. Mr. and Mrs. AYhitchead have also donated a guinea for a trophy for a club match the conditions of which are to be decided bv the committee.
