THE ELECTION.
RECORD POLLING. The returning officer reports record polling for the Waverley district at the election on Wednesday. Throughout the Avhole day a steady stream of electors kept the officials busy. The thanks of the returning officer, poll clerks, and scrutineers are extended to the ladies avlio so kindly volunteered to provide refreshments throughout the day’s proceedings.
