SMITH PLANS AIR SERVICE
MAIL AND .PASSENGER FLIGHTS Squadron- Leader C. E. Kiugsfonl Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm have planned an aerial mail passenger service on a elaborate scale between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane commencing after their return from America. In addition they will manufacture aircraft for defence and civil purposes, and will probably commence an air service .from Brisbane to New Guinea and from Melbourne to .Hobart. Smith ami Ulm favour triple-engine machine.- nr r ight to 1 I passenger capacity. a type similar to the Southern Cross. They anticipate covering the journey Iron. Melbourne to Brisbane in a Iron I 15 hours.
