FASHION NOTES.
Purple, blue, and jgr'een Stocking: are appearing with the spring. No. only in the evening, but with tailieurw of kasha and light weight tweediwill there -be seen brighter and more colourful legs.
Often the sleeve is carried out in a completely different colour or material -as when a black satin gown had sleeves and a yoke of flesh pink chiffon.
Lace as a trimming is seen a good de'al —little lace collars high .up at the neck, lace gauntlet cuffs and lace jabots.
Trimmings may be as frilly and fussy as the heart desires. They may be of pleated frillings, or jjace | ruffles, flounces, coloured bindings or buttons.
Crystal necklaces are especially fashionable. Broaches, necklets and even bracelets are worn again.
,A' black or navy ensemble can have the coat lined with yellow, and a black hat be trimmed with yellow velvet couvcntion'al flowers or part of it with yellow straw. Gold-coloured quills and ornaments are fashionable.
A set of pale pink lingerie was trimmed with French knots in blue massed together like so many seed "turquoises and looked beautiful.
