DROPPED DEAD AT RACES
MAX WITH MONEY ON WINNER. A commercial traveller named Alexander Spence, aged 53, dropped dead after witnessing a race at the Canterbury meeting at the week-end. A thief stole his diamond pin immediately he fell. A betting ticket for £l4 on the winner was found in the dead man’s picket, together with 30 notes.
