FRANCE WINS DAVIS CUP
VICTORY IN BOTH SINGLES 'GREAT FIGHT WITH AMERICANS MARGIN OF FOUR GAMES TO ONE France retains the Devis Cup, having won both the singles matches. Cochet defeated Tiltlcn 9 —7, S —6, G—--4 and Lacoste defeated Hennessey -I —6, G —l, 7 —5, G —3. France won four matches to the Americans’ one, the only American victory being that in which Tildcn beat Lacoste.
