INTOXICATED MOTORIST

PENALTY OF £2O IMPOSED. A lino of £2O was imposdd in the Auckland Police Court on Harold S. Hall on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car. Tho accused collided with another car at u street intersection, and it was alieged that ho was driving at a danger* ous speed.

The accused denied the offence, but rhe magistrate, Mr. McKean, said thet from tho accused's own actions he had to assume he was drunk'or was a fool. No man in his sober senses would have approached the intersection at the pace he did.

The accused's driving license was cancelled.
