PERSONAL

On Tuesday afternoon the ladies of the Presbyterian Church met in the vestry to bid “boy voyage ’’ to Miss Haines, who is shortly leaving for England. During the afternoon two competitions were held, one being won by Mrs. J. Eraser and the other by Mrs. Brown. A dainty afternoon tea was handed round. Mrs. Brown-, then presented Fiss Haines with a handsome blue suede travelling .cushion on behalf of the Ladies’ Guild. Mrs. Brown said how much Mias Haines would be missed, as she had been such a .great worker ami a very regular church attendin' during her slay in Patea. Miss Haines responded suitably, and thanked the ladies for their beautiful present. At the close of a very gathering “G«d be With Ton Moot Again” was sung.
