A serious motor accident was narrowly .averted last week, when a motorist who had pulled up, on the wrong side of the main street' turned his car round whilst another car was approaching. The driver of the latter, seeing the car on the wrong side, did not imagine the driver was going to turn, consequently he was right on the ear as the latter turned, and had no hope of avoiding a collision. Tortunately both cars were going slowly at the time or a serious accident would have occurred. The need for a by-law compelling motorists 'when they pull up to keep on the left-hand side of the street is apparent.
