The marriage took place at Wellington on Wednesday, June .17, of Alice Evelyn, eldest daughter of Mr. ami Mrs. Allan Marlin, “ Fernglen,” Whenuakura, to Cyril F., only sou of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Gooclmls, of; Wellington.
The election for a member of the North Ward of Wanganui Education Board resulted in the return of Mr. William Adams, of Mangaweka. The figures were: —W. Adams 172, L. J, Thompson 57, W. Ashwell 40. Mr. Adams was formerly headmaster of the i'afea district High School.
