POLITICAL REFORM LEAGUE

MOST ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING MR COATES CHEERED TO THE ECHO WELLINGTON, May.2B. The meeting of the New Zealand Political Reform League is described as the most enthusiastic ever held. It was fully representative, 110 delegates having signed their names. The Hon. J. G. Coates was congratuated and cheered to the echo. Delegates addressed the meeting, and a resolution which pledged the meeting to support the Hon. Mr Coates as loader was carried, amidst cheers. A resolution congratulated Mr James (secretary of the League) on the splendid work he had done on behalf of the party. Whatever the caucus had done was fully approved, but the question of fusion was not discussed as a specific issue. A resolution of appreciation of the mild work of Mr Massey and regret at nis death and sympathy with the widow md family and relatives was passed.
