WEDDING BELLS

WIOKSTBED —HONEYTIELD A wedding of considerable local interest was solemnised in St. George’s Church, Patea, on Tuesday, April 22ud, by the Rev. H. B. Gocrtz, when Mr S. T. Wickstccd, eldest son of Mrs T. E. Wicksteed, of St. John’s Hill, Wanganui, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Miss Irene Katherine Honcylield, fourth daughter of the late Mr E. M. Honcylield, “Park Farm," and Mrs Honcylield, of ‘Egmout View,’ Patea. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr C. R. Honcylield, looked charmingly pretty in a beautiful frock of lilac brocaded satin, trimmed with silver lace, with a handsome veil of embroidered Brussels net, arranged in Dutch-cap style, with the orthodox wreath of orange blossoms, An ivorycovcrcd prayer-book and- silver horseshoe, were 'carried, instead of the usual bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Mildred Honeyfield, sister of the bride, wore a charming frock of jade brocaded marocain, with silver lacc and a black hat, and carried a bouquet of mauve flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by, Mr Roland Garrett, of Wanganui.

The bride's mother was tastefully attired in black silk marocain, with a black and gold hat to match, while the bridegroom's mother wore a frock of black silk and a black hat.

Mr G. H. Stephenson presided at the organ during the ceremony, at the conclusion of which a reception was held at “Egmont View," where relatives of the bride and bridegroom from far and near gathered together to wish them every happiness. The bride's relatives present at the ceremony included: —Mrs Bradmoro (sister of bride), in saxc-bluc costume, with black hat; Mrs C. E. Dymock (Taihape), sister of bride,* in puttycoloured costume afid saxe-blue hat; Mrs H. H. Edwards (Nelson), sister, in ,navy coat frock and beaver fur toque; Miss Honcyficld (sister), in shotsilk marocain frock and black hat; Mrs C. E. Honeyfield (sister-in-law), in brown costume and browm velour hat; Mrs L. Honcyficld (sister-in-law), in navy coat frock and blue toque; Mrs T. Honeyfield (sister-in-law), in fawn coat frock and saxc-bluc hat.

Among the guests were: —Mrs Garrett, Mrs Campbell, Mrs T. Craig, Mrs Morgan, Mrs Jones, Miss Morton Jones, Miss Hazel Jones, Miss Campbell, Miss, Gower, Messrs Morgan and Craig (Wanganui), Mr and Mi's Stephenson, Mr and Mrs R. W. Hamorton, Rev. H. B. and Mrs Goortz, Mrs Magnay, Mrs Gibson, Mr and Mrs W. F. Sheild, Misses Gibson, Kelly, R. Honeyficld and A. Bradmorfc.

After the customary toasts had been honoured and all good wishes expressed, the happy couple left by motor for Wellington, cn route to Sydney, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride travelling in a kingfisher-blue coatfrock and a grey toque. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of a number of beautiful presents, including many cheques.
