Niagara left Vancouver August 3rd for Sydney, via Auckland; due Auckland about 24th inst. Niagara duo Auckland August 24. NOTES. The “N.Z. Times” states that the Wavcrlcy, which arrived from Patoa at Wellington at 12.50 on Tuesday in the teeth of the gale that was raging, had an anxious time, and her feat is a striking tribute to her crew. Some idea of the sea that was raging can bo gauged from the fact that a 12,000-ton liner had to turn back on reaching the Hoads, after leaving the wharf.
