“The Power Board will have electricity in Eltham before next Christmas,;; said Mr C. E. McGuinness, a member of the Taranaki Power Board, at Saturday's meeting of the Eltham County Council. influenza has spread rapidly in Wanganui recently. The visitation is fortunately of a mild type, and a few days in bed suffices to shako it off. Only one pneumonic case has been reported in Gronville. At one school 140 pupils tailed to answer the roll. It is proposed to erect additional hospital accommodation in Hawcra at a cost of £BO,OOO. The plans provide wards for about 100 beds. Miss T. Cibson and Mrs Roberts and Airs Mcßae left yesterday for Wanganui, where they are competing in the ladies' golf tournament.
