She shocks British society with her Aincri. canisms. Alice Joyce portrays the American wife in pleasing manner. She makes a striking contrast between the whimsical western girl and the obedient servant of ‘ ‘ her lord and master. There are a number of intensely dramatic scenes interspersed with bright, sparkling comedy, witty titles, gorgeous sets, picturesque backgrounds and an interesting human story.
