To the Editor Gir, — In reply to ‘ ‘ Observer *’ letter which appeared in your issue of Monday his; in which ‘ ‘ Observer ’’ suggests a new site for the Memorial gateway, J am directed by my committee io inlorm your correspondent that the site he suggests at the corner of Egmoiu and Nurxvy Streets has been granted to the Croquet Club who intend extending the courts to the Egmont, St. boundary and erecting a pavilion on iho suggested site. The present site was decided on only after much consideration by those who wore 'appointed to take charge of the alterations to the grounds. For the War Memorial Committee, I am, etc., , PEED LOCKER
