® - The Rev. J. L. Gray who is conducting Bvening Service at the Knox Church on Sunday, and the Bible Class in the aficrnoon, is leaving early next month with his bride for India to take up Missionary work on behalf of the Presbyterian Church there. Mr. Newton King who underwent a severe operation recently continues to make satisfactory progress towards, recovery. •' Mr. H. E. Deane returned home 6n Tuesday much benefited in health after ■i seven week's so j urn in Wanganui for nodical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Khubell (Levin) have been in Wellington a few days to farewell Mr. Kimbell, manager of the Bank of Australasia- in Levin, who is leaving ui the French sailing ship) La France for R tour to the Old Country'. The Prime Minister (Mr. Massey) left Vancouver by the Niagara on Saturday, tor Auckland (says a cable message.) The Niagara is due at Auckland on September 30th.
