PATEA SCHOOL

GRAND PLAIN AND FANCY DRESS DANCE The local School Committee have been carrying out some extensive improvements at the school grounds of late and have, in addition to the Memorial Avenue, just completed a very fine Basket Ball ground for the girls. In order'to raise the necessary funds to pay for the work the Committee are holding a plain and Fancy Dress Ball in the Town Hall on Friday September 23rd which promises to be something out of the ordinary The floor will be reserved for children from 7 to 9 p.m. after which the adults will take possession. The music will bo in the capable hands of Mrs. Mitchell and her orchestra, which is a guarantee that it will leave nothing to be desired. A feature of the dance will be the family tickets which will admit the parents and children as well. Needless to say a first class supper will be provided which-should make the function additionally attractive.
