MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.
,A meeting of the Executive was then held, Mr. Hemingway' being elected chairman. It was decided that the Society' meet on the third Friday' in each month until further notice. Mr. Dunkley suggested that the Harbour Board be approached with a view to authority being granted to the Society' to plant marram grass and lupin at the Hoads to prevent the drifting of the sand.
It was decided that the Committee make an inspection visit on Sundav morning to the Heads at 10 o'clock. It was also decided to form a Ladies' Committee to assist the Society, and to invito any ladies willing to join to notify the secretary forthwith by phono (Xo. 35) or letter. It was also decided to hold a Monster Seaside Picnic at an early date, if the necessary arrangements can be made.
Messrs. Ormsby, juu., and Boyne were appointed a committee to arrange aquatic events at the picnic, Messrs. Dunkley and Ferric, land amusements, Messrs. White and Matthews, produce stalls and refreshments, Messrs. Gilbert and Haworth transport. Ihe meet ing' then adjourned.
