WAIROA RUGBY FOOTBALL SUB-UNION

MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Management Committee was hold on Thursday, Mr. J. A. McKenna presiding, Messrs Broughton, Simpson, Cunningham, and Homing' way w'crc also present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was read from the Wanganui Rugby Union offering a match with Wanganui at the latter place on Saturday, August 14. The secretary reported that as an immediate reply was asked for, he had written accepting the offer. The action of the secretary was conlirmed The question of selecting the team to play Wanganui was considered, and it was unanimously resolved that Messrs. McKenna, Broughton, Southcombe, and P. Leahy be a committee to select a team. The secretary reported that the receipts of the recent representative match against Taranaki had realised £29 7s. 6d., and the expenses were estimated at £2l 7s. 9d. It was decided that the accounts in connection with the match be paid subject to the secretary being satisfied that same were correct. It was unanimously resolved that the secretary endeavour to arrange a junior match with a Taranaki representative team at Hawera at an early date. This concluded the business, and the meeting adjourned.
