WAVERLEY v. OPAKU
The Opaku team forfeited to Waver ley on Saturday owing to their inabil Uy to get a team together to travel.
WAITOTARA v. PATEA
The Waitotara team journeyed to Patea on Saturday and wore defeated after a rather one sided game by 9 points to nil. Mr. T. Campbell refereed.
SATURDAY'S REP. MATCH
The representative match between !hc Wairoa v. Taranaki B teams which will be played at Patea on Saturday next is already creating a considerable amount of interest throughout the district and the town should have a record number of visitors. The local men will play in black jerseys with black knickers and stockings, whilst the Taranaki team will play in its usual colours, amber and black. The Wairoa team will be entertained to luncheon at the Central Hotel by the Rugby Union whilst a similar compliment will be paid the visiting team at the Albion Hotel. The match has been timed to start at 2.45 p.m. sharp to enable visitors ir,m the north and south to leave by he five o’clock trains. The ground is in first class order and a good game should bo witnessed.
