TOURS OF THE WAR ZONE

I am told that one of the companies arranging tours of Die war zone, says a writer in the London “Chronicle,” are proposing an inclusive fee of 100 guineas to cover every expense from the time that the visitor reaches Amiens until he arrives back again a week later. Comfortable chateaux, food, luxurious French motor cars, experienced guides, formerly officers in the Allied armies, and free wine arc provided. The tours vary, but roughly it is possible for the visitor to spend his week in the British'zonc north of the Bommo, or else to go to the American and the French fronts, or if a visitor feels specially energetic he can hustle through the whole front in one week. There is a feeling of sacrilege at the idea of our battlefields being visited by a tourist, but no doubt many parents will wish to take advantage of the proposed arrangement in order to sec their sops’ graves. The tours were to start immediately after, the signing of peace.
