WAVERLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL WAR MEMORIAL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE
A meeting of the above Committee was held in the Town Board’s meeting room on Tuesday evening, Mr. H. Middleton presiding. Messrs G. M. Beer, S. Bromilcy, C. H. Southeombe, A. O. Hemingway and the Headmaster (Mr. Banks) were also present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
An. apology for non-attcndanco was received from Mr. P. Faris.
The concert and dance arranged for Tuesday, August 12th, was discussed at length. Mr. Hemingway said that owing to unforseen circumstances most of the concert party were away and the programme previously arranged would have to be abandoned.
Mr. Bromilcy moved that Mr. Southcombo sco Miss Mitchell and make definite arrangements for tho concert as soon as possible. Seconded by the Chairman and carried.
Mr. Southeombe moved that tho con cert be advertised in the “Press”.
Seconded by Mr. Bromilcy and carried.
Mr. Southcombe proposed that Mr. Bromilcy take the ticket-box for the concert and dance.
Seconded by tho Chairman and carried.
It was decided that Messrs Southcombe and Hemingway take tho door and Messrs Wall and Boer arrange for boiling the water for tho supper. There being no further business the Chairman declared tho meeting closed.
