Corporal Norman Tinncy is duo to arrive in Wellington on Monday next by the troopship “Briton.’’ We understand' that the charge of the charge of the Upper Hutt parish lias been offered to the Rev. N. S. Barnett, who has decided to accept same. The death at Whenuakura, on Thursday, of Mr. Harry Booker, at the age of 79, makes another gap in the fastdiminishing ranks of the Dominion’s early settlers. A native of Kent, Air. Bookc arrived in New Zealand, accompanied by his brother and sister-in-law, the late Air. and Airs. F. Booker, in 1874. Upon retiring on snporanmition from the Railway Department some years ago, Air. Booker resided at Whenuakura, where ho was well-known and widely respected. The funeral took place at Wanganui yesterday.
