The same members then sat as the Wairoa Domain Hoard. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Clerk reported the credit balance was £205 ,10s Od. The Chairman reported members had visited the Domain at the beach in company with members of the Campers’ Association. The following recommendations were made : (1) That several new stiles be erected and some repaired. (2) That gratings for the bathing sheds be provided. (3) That a new cook-house bo erected with a good concrete tank. The chimney required to be raised and a bridge was required over the creek. A two-foot plank was thought to be sufficient with a wire hand-rail. The Committee also wished to plant some more trees near the shelter sheds. The Chairman pointed out that horses and cattle had boon over the camping ground and wore destroying the trees. He also said that the road was in very good order. After fully discussing the matter it was resolved that the stiles be erected, gratings be put into the sheds, that the chimney at the present cook-house ho raised and the bridge erected as suggested. The question of a new cook-house was held over to enable prices to be obtained for a building 30ft. x 18ft. with a fireplace in each cud, Messrs Taylor and Napier to report at next meeting. It was further resolved that no drift wood be allowed to be carted through or off the Domain and that notices be put up at the Domain to (his effect and the matter advertised. This concluded (ho business and the Cha’rman declared (he meeting closed.
