GOLF.
There is at present on view in Mr. A. Y. Merriman’s window a handsome challenge cup presented by Messrs Cave Bros, to the Wavcrlcy Golf Club, for a competition to be decided by match play. The first round is now in progress. Golf appears to be very popular in Wavcrlcy, and the links arc well patronised throughout the week 1 .
