BOWLING

There was a very good muster on the local green on Saturday, the principal game being the annual match between the veterans and the young players ; last year the veterans won by one point and this year the young players won by one point, a very lucky shot by Mr Palmer scoring 4 on the last head ; the game was as follows: Veterans— Muir, J B Taylor, D Taylor, McGorrery 23; Young players — Crichton, Merriman, Prouse, R P Palmer 24.

The following Club games were also played—Madley, Patton, Southcombe, Mathiesou 27; Graham, Taylor, Dyke, Alf Howie 35. Peffers, Turner, James, Macphersou 23; Alex Howie, Rutherford, Laugdou, Saunders 30. Eames, Blennerhasset, Walker, Cormack 33, Parsons, lon, Verry, Adlam 14.
