A Club Formed. The Men’s Club for Eltham was advanced a further stage on Monday when a meeting of citizens was again held to consider the matter. After a a brief discussion it was unanimously resolved that a club ba formed. The Committee appointed to consider the questions of suitable premises and the probable membership of such a dub reported as follows. Your Committee deg to report that they have done the best to obtain information re promises for the proposed club. The result of their labours falls under two headings—freehold and leasehold. Four freehold properties are offered and throe leasehold. Eighty names have been handed in as intending members Details wore given of the various properties. After the matter had been fully considered and discussed it was unanimously resolved that the club bo started on a leasehold basis, and a comiU'Uie of sis was appointed with power to act with reference to securing premises for the club, A sub committee was appointed to draw up a set of rules and report to a meeting to be held cu Monday next.
