CONVENT SCHOOL ENTERTAINMENT.
There was a large atteudance at th* Druid's Hall en "Wednesday night, at the! entertainment in connection with the distribution of prizes of the Sacred Heart ComvsDt School. A rery enjoyable programme was submitted, tbe Tocal and instrumental items being .- capitally rendered, 'the dueti and action) songs showing tbe result of careful and thorough training, whilst a four act drama* was presenter] iu a most capable manner, the whole entertainment reflecting' th* bighest credit on the Sisters. Keane ; chorus, " Beneath tbe Oraago Grove," senior pupils; song, '*The Burlesqae Band," boys: piana duet, " Dreams of Heaven," Misses Dickson, Palmer, Carey, and E. Dickson; clubswinging, seven boys. "Filiola," a drama in four acts. Characters: Mrs Haryey, mother to Filiola, Miss S. Power; Filiola, a child of ten, Miss K. McKenna; Filiola, a ,young woman, Miss E. Kennedy; Miss (tastings, governess-to Filiola, Miss F. Power ; Fairy Mirobola; Miss M. Mitchell; Mrs Contradictory, mother-in-law to Fiiiol*, Misßß. Dickson; Hilda and Fanny, children of Filiola, Misses M. Gilligan and M. Mnngos; Bertha, Filiola's maid, Miss M. McKenna; Rachel, Mrs Contradictory's maid, Mi«s E. Williams ; Margaret, nurse to Filiola, Miss F. Hunger. At the conclusion of the programme the Mayor presented the prizes.
