PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD

Monthly Meeting. The monthly mooting of the Patea West Road Board was held on Monday. Present, the chairman (Mr O’Sullivan), Messrs Hurley, Gadsby, Williamson and McCarty. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman’s action in accepting Amos’ tender for cartage of metal was approved. On the motion of Mr O’Sullivan, seconded by Mr Hurley, it was decided to have Cave’s road attended to at once by Mr McCarty. It was decided that the secretary interview the engineer with regard to a reduction in the price of metal, and to explain that only five times out of seventeen was the metal good. It was resolved that the County Council he asked to advance £IOO on account of grant. On the motion of the Chairman it was decided that the surfaceman be asked to put on another dray or two.
